The Ministries of our Church
Community Service Projects Did you know that the “Love In Action” adult Sabbath School class spends a great deal of their time serving individuals or families in the community that need practical, tangible assistance? Some of the projects they have been involved in include food baskets, home repairs, clothing, and financial assistance.
How can you get involved? You are invited to join “Love In Action” on these service projects even if you do not attend their class. Or perhaps you know of a family or situation that could benefit from some love in action! Suggestions and contact information would be most welcome and, of course, financial support will never be turned away!

Samaritan House One Saturday evening a month a group of church members provides, prepares, and serves dinner to the residents of Samaritan House. This is a facility housing individuals with HIV. It is run by a volunteer organization and greatly welcomes and appreciates our service.
How can you get involved? This is an excellent opportunity to serve as a family and demonstrate hands-on service to our children! Financial support is always helpful, especially at Christmas time in order to provide gift bags to the residents.

Foreign Mission Trips One of our own church members is president of World Health Services, a non-profit mission organization focused on improving the quality of life for individuals who would not normally receive medical attention. Each year the organization plans three mission trips to different areas of the world (Tanzania, Ecuador, Zambia, Greece, Bulgaria, etc.) providing medical, vision, and dental clinics as well as construction projects and evangelism for adults and children.
How can you get involved? Join a mission team for a trip - medical personnel, construction workers, individuals interested in working with kids, teacher, storytellers, etc. are needed. If you have a heart for mission, we can find a place for you to get involved. Get ready for your life to be changed dramatically.
Sponsor a student - your family can raise $500 to put a child through school for one year, your SS class can take a child as a project and collect funds for their school fees, you can individually sponsor a child or contribute a portion of their school fees.
Supply meds and other items needed for trips - as a class, a family or individually you can contribute or raise funds to help buy the much-needed medications and supplies used on a mission trip

Navajo Mission Trip Another one of our church members co-directs an annual Spring Break mission trip to Navajo land. This program has blended outreach ministry, work projects, and cultural immersion into a life changing experience. Programs include: construction, home/building repair, property improvements, VBS, tutoring, sport clinics, mentoring, witnessing, and agricultural projects.
How can you get involved? If you are a high school or college age student, or even a family with younger children, this is an excellent opportunity to serve in a “state-side” mission field! Financial needs include student sponsorships and project funds.

Project Impact Burleson If you’ve ever had the opportunity to go on a foreign mission trip you know what a blessing it is! But how many mission opportunities have been overlooked in our own “back-yard”? Project Impact Burleson is an ideal opportunity for families to join a church sponsored local mission experience during Spring Break and again in the Fall. Projects have included city park and road-side clean up, painting, repair work, landscaping, and yard work for community residents.
How can you get involved? Besides the obvious hands-on and financial involvement, this is a project that will take extensive planning and organization. If this is your passion, gift, or talent please get involved!
